Angry primary school learners chases health workers in Mzimba

Angry primary school learners from Kalambo at Jenda have chased away health workers assigned to administer Pfizer COVID 19 vaccine to pupils aged 12 and above.

Jenda health centre Officer In-charge, Simione, Mwale has confirmed the incident and has since described the development as unfortunate. He expressed a surprise considering that an appointment was made a well in advance a few days earlier , and also that some of them have been voluntarily visiting the facility for the vaccine.

Police authorities from within the area are said to have responded promptly upon informed to quell the situation.

School authorities are yet to comment on the matter.
